I look forward to attending my first WHS Class of 1968 reunion and cannot believe 45 years have passed since graduation.  It was sad to learn last year about the passing of so many of our former classmates.

After a nearly 37-year career, I retired at the of 2009.

Retirement is great and I seem to keep very busy enjoying all that this area offers.

WRT the "Then" and "Then" pics:

The left-hand pic was taken in early 1957 of future WHS Class of 1970 and 1968 grads, respectively.  My sister and I were standing outside our house, where my Class of 1974 grad brother and my Class of 1975 grad sister-in-law live and raised their three now grown children.

The pic on the right was taken with two Thai dancers in Bangkok, Thailand. in August 1982, when I visited a former boyfriend.

The "Dancing Queen" pic in one of the photo albums was taken at the Christmas party of some friends in Asia in the mid-1980s. along with one other pic taken in summer 1972 in Falmouth, MA, on top of a friend's red  Spider.

Well, this will be my first high school reunion ever!! Upon reviewing all the names of all our fellow classmates that have passed-on (God Bless them all), I think it's about time to re-connect with some of my old friends, while I still can.

After a career of almost 43 years, I've been retired from state government for the last 2 years. In addition, I've been happily married for almost 33 years. We have one adult son, who just turned 30 in June, that we're very proud of.

Incidentally, I love retirement!! I spend most of my time taking long walks in the morning and reading books primarily about American History & Politics and Culture in the afternoon.

I've had a great life and I hope all of my classmates have had one too. Can't wait to catch up!!

Hi All: I think that this reunion will be one of re-connecting and lots of laughter. I have re-connected with those on the committee and have even spent time away with some. It has been fun! I retired a couple of years ago from teaching and doing Special Ed Admin in Boston. I loved it, but I love retirement more. I have 3 grown children. I am still happily married after 38 years! I am even going to try to drag him to the reunion. Try to come and we all can have a laugh, cocktail, some yummy food and dance the night away.

Married to Sheila Carroll (she kept her last name). We have a son and 4 GRANDCHILDREN. (yikes). Sheila JUST retired from Human Resources at a major corporation. She is also a photographer, mostly of natural history subjects (birds, butterflies, dragonflies, wildflowers).

I taught at the WORCESTER ART MUSEUM for most of my adult life, courses in animation, contemporary and modern art , and various specialty courses focusing on exhibitions.

I also still teach (though I am taking a break) the advanced level BIRDING CLASSES at Mass Audubon (Worcester) where I have also done a number of environmental monitoring projects. Led about a bazillion field trips.

I am also the BOOK REVIEW EDITOR for an ornithology journal.

FINALLY, I have been at radio station WICN (90.5fm) SINCE 1971 (!!!). I was the head of the Alternative Rock dept from the Sex Pistols to just after Nirvana (met lots of the bands, many came to the house, Sheila even made lasagna for The Stray Cats), but the format changed to mostly jazz and folk, so Now I do the science/art interview show INQUIRY which broadcasts Sundays at 9PM, but is also podcast: backlog of recordings, go to: www.wicn.org, click on PODCASTS and scroll down INQUIRY.

I have traveled a lot, across the US, down Central and South America , around Europe, and to Australia 3 times, all looking at birds and wildlife (never on organized trips) and have had a ton of adventures and have almost seriously bought the farm several times.

I hope all of you have a great time!

Anyone wants to get in touch with me, reach me on Facebook,

IT Specialist/Retired Single
Graduated from MassBay-AS Secretarial Science (Extinct Career)
Wish I could attend but due to chronic back issues and a recent hip replacement unable to be there.
Still single but looking, must have been at the airport when my ship came in! I have spent most of the 45 years in Watertown except for some time in CT and Milford, MA.  Switch my career cap several times throughout the years; Secretary, Travel Consultant, IT/Travel Industry. But most of my career (22 years) was with American Airlines/Sabre Travel Network, traveling around the country and having driving territories throughout New England.   The job varied day-to-day, conducting workshops, installing hardware and software upgrades, conducting presentations to corporate customers.  I worked with Global customers teaching Windows and Travelocity along with the reservations system, worked upgrades for Y2K.
I made some wonderful friendships and had lots of fun along the way.  I traveled to London, Ireland, Portugal, Austria, Canada, and Hawaii, many of the Caribbean Islands.  Sailed the British Virgin Islands and sailed to the little known island of Anegada. Celebrated my Over- the- Hill 30th birthday by riding the Olympic bobsled run in Innsbruck and drank peach schnapps after the run.  Skied in Utah and Innsbruck, viewed the Northern lights at 34,000 ft. on a flight from Dallas to Boston, danced at Dirty Nellies and kissed the Blarney Stone, visited Pearl Harbor and the Punchbowl Cemetery in Oahu and the volcanos of the big island of Hawaii, toured the Alamo and danced at Billy Bob’s in Dallas, visited Tombstone, Sedona and the WWII museum of airplanes in Phoenix.  But no matter where I traveled I always looked forward to coming HOME to Watertown.
Dabbled in Watertown politics in the 90’s when I helped fight for better zoning in Watertown, resulting in larger lots and front lawns for the new townhouses, rather  than the blacktop fronts you see in Belmont and Newton.  I decided to stick to my IT career, as you have to have a crocodile skin to be in politics.
I retired in in 2010 and enjoy spending time with family and friends and my 6 month old grandniece, Nayalyce and enjoying the many long-term friendships I made over the years from Singapore to Maine.  Still keep in touch with lifelong classmates Ann (Lambert) Desmond and Joy (Burns) Lambert. Not a good year for back issues and hip replacement. Unfortunately, I am missing all the reunions this year, one in Clinton for my northeast co-workers, one in Dallas with 600 co-workers and now my class reunion.   So enjoy and I am looking forward to the 50th!

I retired in 2015 after 43 years as a Police Officer. During that time I was also a Police Sketch Artist. I trained in Forensic Imaging and Interview techniques at the FBI Academy. I drew over 400 Sketches of wanted individuals for 0ver 78 Police agencies which incuded the FBI, The State Police and several agencies in other New England States.
Now that I'm retired, I'm trying to transition into a "fine artist", but that' s still a work in progress.' I have found that I get more relaxation from painting a sunset than drawing faces of "bad guys". Everyone Stay Safe and Healthy, Hope to see you at the 50th.

I have been living in Charlotte, NC, since 1974.  I love to visit family and friends in New England, but enjoy living in the south.  If I were living in Watertown, I would have loved to have been involved with putting this reunion together.  Y'all have done a fabulous job and I have been bragging to everyone about the website!  I can't wait to see everyone.  My husband Ric (going on 25 easy years together) and I have hosted many a party, sometimes 50-100 attending, at our modest bungalow home in an historic neighborhood just outside uptown Charlotte.  We have 3 sons in our blended family, Jay 37 a police officer, Dustin 35 a grad student (information technology), and Andy 32 a seasoned restaurant server/host.  We have four grandchildren ages 4years and younger, fortunately all living in the Charlotte area so we see them regularly.  I am an athlete and have been a member of our YMCA since the 80's.  I take sculpt classes, a zumba class, and a spin class.  I also speed walk, practice yoga, and cycle on and off the road.  I used to put all female teams together, on which I would do the cycling leg, for triathlons and we consistently placed.  I love to read, garden, and am an avid backgammon and scrabble player.  I am retired from the City of Charlotte, having worked as a graphic designer for the Corporate Communications Dept. which reported to the Mayor's office, and sole staff photographer for all the departments.  My assignments gave entry to police helicopter rides for aerial photos, fire engine call rides, yard waste rides on the side of the truck, cherry picker lifts for photo angles, construction site photography, and any events for the Mayor and City council members.  My graphics were used for in-house and public information pieces.  Since retiring, I have been heavily involved with our neighborhoods beautification and tree replanting efforts to restore the canopy lost to disease, age and construction.  Partnering with the City, I was instrumental in obtaining a matching grant for a $17,000 landscape design to identify where street trees were needed, resulting in over 220 trees planted.  Ric and I are still working in tree planting efforts to continue awareness and planting of trees.  I also work part time for my husband's landscape design business and do all his business graphics.  He designs and then contracts out for installation.  Well known in the Charlotte area, he has been in business for over 30 years.  We enjoy travelling to family events in the states, beach trips to Pawley's Island, SC, Sunset Beach, NC, and to our WVA house outside Canaan Valley.  If you are ever in the Charlotte area, please look us up!  We are affectionately called the Solow Inn.  Our door is always open ;-)

After suffering through 18 years of schooling, I went into a completly different field of work and became successful in spite of my ability to "not work to my potential" Satirical pundit, occasionaly published. Grandfather to six lovely kids. Currently still building and writing. Gave up drinking, fishing and golf. Had to give up the latter two because I stopped drinking. I Realized I was A.D.D. and suffering from depression when I tried to kill myself, forgot what I was doing and put my car into reverse and backed through my garage door. That's 3 doors this year alone! Well, you get the idea. It's a beautiful world out there and it has been an excellent ride so far. I am glad and proud to have spawned and swum up stream with all of you from Watertown. We all peered over the abyss; some spread their wings & rose to the heavens, others just drifted on the thermals, but we all took flight with what we had. Bless us all. Those that have gone before us, those that are here and those that are yet to come. We are the legacies of the invisible ones.

43 years ago I married my best friend.  He is still my best friend!!  We have 3 daughters and 7 grandchildren.  I have had the time of my life in the last 43 years and I look forward to the next 43 years!!
As a member of the Reunion Commitee, I have had the pleasure of reconnecting  with several old friends and acquaintances from WHS.
Meeting up with high school friends brings up great memories from the past .  What I realized from spending time with the Reunion Commitee is this......we all have history together of times gone by.  Some history we may not want to revisit and other history we can't wait to relive!   Whichever it is for you, I promise you will have a great time at this reunion.  I can't wait to see you there!
